Black and Blue

I'm a full timer in a corporate environment, which requires me to bring a polished and professional look into the workplace; however, I do have some flexibility. I have the opportunity to keep it a little more casual, but even when I'm "dressed down"- I still want to project a look that's pulled together.

She Slayed in Suede

I'm more of a hot weather gal, but the one thing I do like about the declining temperatures is the ability to add richer colors and more texture into my wardrobe.

My outfit itself is very basic - a pair of girlfriend jeans and a top. But it's the suede trench and boots that make the look.

It's a Black Thing

I have a lot of black in my closet. It's not intentional, but black is just so easy.
I wore this into the office recently.

Transitioning Into Fall

So, the Fall weather on the East Coast has officially kicked in and we're at the point where the mornings and evenings are chilly, and it's pretty nice during the day.

This dress is perfect to transition from Summer to Fall, because it has short sleeves and can be worn as a dress during the warmer weather.  But when it's a little chillier, like now, you can layer a cape or blazer on top, and put a pair of leggings underneath. (shown here)

Who Run the World?

Last weekend, I had the honor and privilege of participating in a professional development workshop at Girls, Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ.

The goal was to teach the Girls, Inc. interns the "Rules of the Game" while navigating through the professional landscape. Topics included, Slaying Your Werk, Communication, Staying Open, and my workshop was titled "Looking the Part."

We had an awesome group of women presenting insightful and practical information, and the young women were very open and receptive to the information. The day was filled with food, fun, lots of information, and fabulous giveaways.
