I saw an ad for this coat, and the model looked so good in it, I said to myself, "Ooooh, I have to get that." But I have several coats, and did I really need to add another piece to my wardrobe? NO! But then the Black Friday sales rolled around and everything was on sale for 50% off.
Did I happen to mention that I got the coat from Express? In case you didn't know, Express is one of my "go-to" stores. I've been shopping there for more years than I care to publicly state, but I can always seem to find something cute and reasonably priced. I'm also an Express cardholder and my loyalty to the store has paid off. I happened to have a $30 rewards certificate and a $40 rewards certificate, so the final cost of the jacket was $44.00.
Now THAT'S the kind of shopping that I like! Now the key to reaping any benefits associated with rewards cards is to keep a zero balance. Use the card to accrue rewards, but pay off the balance as soon as it posts to your account because store-branded credit cards are known for their astronomic rates. Shop smart my friends.
